On 17th evening - 5.00 to 6.00 p.m., Fajit Wadekar (A light comedy on every doctor's life) by Dr. Tendolkar Anil, a Cardiothoracic Surgeon.
On 17th night Medical Melodies - There are many subjects other than medicine which haunt your mind. Right now let it just be related to music, dance and entertainment, related to the family members accompanying our delegates! Do you have any new suggestions, explanations, revolutionary ideas about our conference? Music is such a type of relaxation that we have to experience it to believe this statement. So, we appeal to our intelligent, emotional, sensitive and naughty soldiers to brace up for this big event of entertainment.
We have divided the program into three phases - Vocal Music with due explanation by a compere; Homor & Laughter - after censor by the organizers; Dance by kids on stage which is approved by two committee members and as per the availability of time, otherwise they will be accommodated in the spouse's program.
The proper mix of these ingredients with the right spices, will make the dish very delicious. Medical Melodies is a fun-filled entertainment and musical program by the physicians and their first order relatives from 7.00 p.m. onwards on 17th October.

Conference inauguration on 17th evening at 6.00 p.m. at the hands of big political tycoons of Goa and/or Maharashtra. Scientific sessions will be inaugurated by API President at 9.45 a.m. on 17th October.

Weather & Clothing: Comfortable, woollens will not be required. Cannot predict rain. Local transport will not be arranged by the organizers. However, our travel agent will make you comfortable.

Do you know anybody from our physician community who has done extraordinary work under very adverse circumstances, and resisting the attraction of better prospects in metros & abroad. Many such of our colleagues are not recognized without knowing their contribution to our community & country. MAPI would like to recognize their efforts and felicitate them. We would like more and more people to know about their work. We invite short accounts of the zeal, trying circumstances and magnitude of hard work in about 400 words, describing achievements as well as disappointments. Please attach brief bio-data on single A4 size page only with 2.5 cm margins from all sides in font Arial or Times New Roman, size - 12 pts. If possible, send photograph in action or near the work place or amongst people benefitted will be appreciated (4 nos. max). This will be useful while presenting awards.

During this mega event of MAPICON 2003, we are in a process of preparing a data base of all physicians of Maharashtra in the form of a Directory. Any advertisement in this prestigious directory will reach at least 3000 affluent doctor families all over Maharashtra & also in nearby states. A novel idea, especially after the repercussions of SARS & HIV in the media throughout the country. Is it not high time that we need to have a close co-ordination between these two important fields of life? A brain-child of KAP president & organizing chairman, Dr. VIVEK REDKAR from Malvan. This idea was supported by Mr. Kumar Ketkar, Editor, Loksatta, and nurtured by Mr. Kamalakar Nadkarni and many other supporters from both the fields.
In this two-hor program (from 6.00 to 8.00 p.m. on Thurs., 16th Oct.,) we are going to have a wonderful interaction between media tycoons and stalwarts in the medical field.
Editorial Board Members and correspondents from major state dailies & district level newspapers will be participants apart from doing thier job of covering the event.

1. Registration is compulsory for delegates attending the conference or presenting paper.
2. Confirmation & a numbered receipt will be sent after receiving the registration form along with the remittance. The receipts should be presented at the registration counter.
3. Registration counters will open at the venue from 16th. October, 2003, 12 noon.
4. Since the venue is a prime five-star property, the rules in force need to be abided by.
5. Delegate registration includes access to all scientific sessions, exhibits, opening, cultural program & a kit.
6. There is no cancellation policy nor can it be substituted.
7. Badges should be worn all the time for security reasons.
8. Being a beach resort, one needs to be careful of the sea waters.
9. Numbered coupons should be presented before lunch & dinner.
10. PG students-residents must produce a certificate from HOD or Head of the Institute.
